Web 3.D
so many people have talked about the next leap in the way the internet works.
Some say the faithful UGC (user generated content) will still be king, others say the next leap will be the release of API’s for every one to build there own site with no knowledge of programming or server hosting.
But I personally think the next revulsion will be graphic.
3d in real-time has always been a long awaited feature that a lot of designers where looking for, but no one company made it look good, fast loading and easy to make.
And then came papervision3D
A set of class’s for flash witch makes the best interactive content on the web go 3d.
The new 3d language has been adopted by some leading brand names like:
Nike: http://www.nikeacg.com/
Absolute vodka: http://absolutbrasil.com.br/
And some cool new ways of expression are shoing up:
Space ship demo: http://www.carlosulloa.com/demos/spaceship
Color like no other: http://blog.papervision3d.org/2007/10/08/colour-likenoother/
So what’s next?
Well, I think we will be seeing some new 3d avatars, 3d games and even 3d facebook applications coming soon.
